My evidence comes from the observations of this individual's line of actions:

1-He dropped a MOAB and fired cruise missiles. Think of the messages this action sent.

2-He presented the idea of racial segregation. Think of the messages this action sent.

3-He presented the dwelling into the police state even more with his public support for torture. This is beyond scary. This is beyond madness. Think of the messages this action sent.

As torture tends to work on a small number, it would become the fuel for the creation of ISIS-like mentalities. 
The war on terror campaign is going on since 2003, if torture worked then why didn't it put  a stop to the 14 years, still going conflict?

Abu Ghuraib was an example of the use of torture.

It even led to be the propaganda of so many Jihadi groups. A mere fuel to make their fire spread even more.
