Rik, did you know the theory of evolution (AKA natural selection) is specifically about a non-teleological process? If what you have in mind is that creatures change over time for the sake of achieving a higher state, you shouldn't call that 'evolution'. There is no higher or lower state to achieve from the perspective of natural selection. There is only the selection through survival and procreation of the form which best fits the available niche. That could just as easily involve a form which is a simpler creature with less restrictive anatomy and physiology. More complex is not always more adaptive.

You are talking about the materialistic point of view. Even if 90% of the people may agree with you that doesn't mean that you are right. You remember when some guy try to explain to the masses that the planet earth is not flat and is not the center of the universe? Even then over 90% of the people thought that the guy was nut only to discover that is them that they were nuts. The same story apply to the evolution of the species theory. Most people don't take in any consideration that the reason why plants, animals and human evolve is all related to consciousness. The consciousness is the driving force not anything else. Even the matter after millions of years that lie in the latent or slumber stage feel like getting out that state. Uranium and other minerals are the best example where the energy-consciousness try to escape. Plants too are not happy to stay in that state. Climbers plants move all the time in search for better conditions and so do animals and humans. Everybody always try to improve and prosper and when you do this the consciousness expand. This is the real evolution. All the rest is fantasy.
Call it a just-so story if you like but "evolution" is taken and doesn't refer to a guided or end-driven process.
But I appreciate your argument: in the past people believed stuff we all know is wrong now. You're like the heroic individual who was right, while of course I and pretty much everyone else correspond to the ignorant masses. Therefore, just like in past, you are right and everyone else is wrong. That is one might fine argument, at least for someone who has only recently earned his moron belt so far. Put this air down in the water. What you think she will do Whatever? I tell you. She will try her best to emerge and reach the top where she will rejoice the big mass of air. Evolution of the consciousness work in the same way. Millions or billions of years ago the supreme magician put part of his consciousness down down down in the slumber of matter as a game to please him and this universal game goes on and on for ever. In the meantime this latent consciousness wakes up and slowly slowly try to reemerge from the slumber stage in order to rejoice the supreme mind that project her in the slumber stage. As it is natural for the air to get out the unnatural situation of being in the water also for a latent consciousness is natural to regain her state of full consciousness. Atheism does not help to understand how the whole system works but as that air refuse to stay submerged in the water also the consciousness refuse the dogma to be submerged in the matter, in the plant stage in the animal stage and even in the human stage and therefore she will try again and again to get out that state until she will succeed and at the end the dogma will lose and be defeated. Telling you I don't have any use for the idea of 'gods' in my understanding of the world, does not tell you anything about how stuff works. It is only the rejection of what would seem to be an archaic way to think about the world. But god belief has played a long and interesting part in human history so you go ahead and enjoy it. Admittedly "evolution" is not restricted to Darwinian evolution. If your religious beliefs tell you that stuff is becoming progressively more and more godlike over time, I have nothing to say about that. I simply don't share your perspective. Peace out. It's just confirmation bias applied to a bunch of Hindu dogma. You have learned nothing from your navel gazing. Everything you think you know came by way of your eyes and ears like everybody else. Your yoga and intuitional science is nothing but a delusional crock of shit. RE: Hemant Mehta

Once again you show your total stupidity. Hindu is a religion and religions always come after some spiritual being inspired spirituality. Religions pop up when the corrupted caste of the priests decided to become the intermediaries between the masses and God in order to gain both in power and in a life of pleasure. By saying that intuitional science has got something to do with Hindu religions you automatically show how stupid and ignorant you are considering that yoga, intuitional science or spirituality came long before Hindu religion and have nothing to do with religious dogmas such as the caste system, the holy cow, the hundreds of Gods, the dowry system and all the rest. In my previous post I explained how the consciousness follow the same process like the air that refuse to be submerged in water. Small consciousness always try to become big consciousness and this is quite evident in the evolutionary process. Unfortunately you put all this under the God belief. Wrong again Whatever. This is science as well. The same science that atheists rely on which in reality contradict them. The air always try to get at the surface regardless of God or not God and so the consciousness does the same regardless of God or not God. You contradict yourself time and time again. You study during your life regardless whether God existed or not. You are here in the forum to learn more things regardless whether God exist or not. That clearly means that you like most people always try to expand your consciousness. This is a natural feeling but you do not know where this expansion of the consciousness will lead to and yet you already make up your mind that God has no part in an eventual reaching Him once total expansion of consciousness reach a goal. Why then every creature always try to expand their consciousness in order to reach new goals? What drive creatures to go up and up in the evolutionary run? Why everybody (atheists included) try to achieve more knowledge which at the end lead to more consciousness? I guess you never thought of that mate, did you? RE: Hemant Mehta

Nope and I'm still not thinking that. It just seems like weird foolishness. But as you say, maybe one day that is exactly what I will think. If it ever is, you'll be the first to know. But right now, given what I know so far I'm just going to call it bullshit.

What a bunch of ka ka. Hindu Schmindu. I don't care about your dogmatic fairy tale stories. As usual you focus on irrelevant details and miss the important bits. I'll repeat for you since I know you're stupid. "You have learned nothing from your navel gazing. Everything you think you know came by way of your eyes and ears like everybody else." All that Sarkar did was repackage a bunch of Indian myth and lore. Not a guru at all. He had no special skill. Just a big mouth. Which is all you are. A salesman of used goods. Your intuitional science is nothing but mouthing shit you learned by normal means. You are a fraud. Peddling twice warmed over fairy tales. RE: Hemant Mehta

If you do not care about personal evolution why then you use your brain to come up with something that stand up against other people point of view? In the previous post I point out to you your failing in saying that intuitional science and Hinduism go hand in hand when in fact they don't. Instead of admitting your failing you instead change subject thinking that I don't notice that. FOOL twice Yog. Now you come down with more garbage which of course lack of any evidence. Where is the evidence that Sarkar .........repackage a bunch of Indian myth and lore? Come up with evidence or go back to sleep. |
