I've watched all of Downton Abbey and the movie they came out with recently. I liked it alright. It is pretty stuffy and dry but there are moments I like. And just like any show that goes on for more than one season, the escalation in conflicts can screw with the lore(in this case, history; for some reason, the characters in the show are sometimes very involved in historic moments and meet very iconic figures in history, so, it has this hokey feel to it and it's not always clear the passage of time), and also dumps and picks up character traits like fashionable hats, so, describing characters isn't so much as illustrating a clear arc as it is more talking about how characters slowly changed into different characters as the seasons go. You know, that whole inconsistent song and dance.

I recently watched the first season of Shameless. Dark comedy set 8n Chicago? That shit’s my jam. That said, I’m also remembering it’s a Showtime series, and a long-running one at that, and I’m struggling to remember any shows on the network that lasted more than a couple seasons and managed to maintain that level of quality. Outside of Penn and Teller, but that’s not a scripted show.

Season eleven is its last, but as the saying goes sadly all good things must come to an end. I think there are one or two seasons I have left to watch. That William H. Macy, Frank, is a stupendous actor/character.
Just watched the last episode of season 4 of "The Handmaid's Tale". Have to wait a year to find out what happens next....grumble, grumble.

Found the next show I want to watch. Netflix.
Katla Quote:One year after the violent eruption of the subglacial volcano Katla, the peace and tranquility in the small town of Vik is dramatically disturbed.
The fourth season of Elite is available on Netflix.

Season five of Workin' Moms on Netflix.
I thought season four was going to be the end of the show, but they were just being cautious because of C-19.
Just finished ‘Dead To Me’ and quite liked it. I resisted watched, because I assumed from the title it was going to be yet another zombie show. Huge mistake.

Huge mistake. Yeah, that show I had to give a second chance when the second season was released. Didn't watch past the beginning of the first season, initially, but it turned out to be a good show. |
