I have seen this article non stop, and I kept hoping someone would post it on here.

I guess it is up to me.

As commander-in-chief, shouldn’t the Army field manual apply to the president as well as the men and women he commands?

Because one psychiatrist brilliantly used the Army field manual to demonstrate that Donald Trump is mentally unfit to be president.

Dr. Prudence L. Gourguechon wrote an editorial for the Los Angeles Times detailing how Trump’s behavior makes him an unfit leader and she proved it by consulting the field manual used by the United States Army.

I would have to say the likely answer to this is no. While the President is commander of all the armed forces, he is not a commander in the armed forces. It's a curios position since he holds no military rank yet outranks the highest ranking officers in every branch.

Why the 25th Amendment is suddenly getting so much attention

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”

And what does that mean exactly?

Well, it means Congress isn’t the only institution that can remove a president from office between elections. Under the 25th Amendment, a sitting vice president and a majority of the executive branch’s cabinet could, on their own, agree to transfer power out of the hands of a sitting president. At that point, those officials would notify Congress, and the vice president would assume the office as the acting president.

The fly in the ointment is that the VP is a jesus freak sleaze named Mike Pence and the cabinet is filled with sniveling toadies who kissed the WLB's ass on camera.

The thing is, for now, Trump is largely contained by the courts and an utterly inept Congress. For as long as that remains true, it might be better for the country to leave it alone, as bizarre as that may sound. This is truly untrod ground, at least in my memory.

This just means the republicans would be encouraged to install more trump like figures in the future. There must be a brutally savage reprisal for a party that could put a trump in office, and the key constituents for which the Republican Party keeps on protecting trump must suffer massive, permanent and irreparable political damage as a result, if the republic were to just barely survive this.

When Trump joins in rioting on campuses to shut down speakers he doesn't like, or if he commits arson, or commits assault, destroy's​ both public and private property, or keeps a list of politicians to shoot, as people in your circle do, then I'll say he's a broken human with a bum brain. The mental illness is being demonstrated by the people on your side, Kemosabe. ##obviously
