So being attracted to a person of the same sex is the same as a straight person being attracted to a straight person? And as long as they don't act on the temptation, they have not sinned? It's almost as if gay people were uniquely selected to have a specific and additional "condition" placed on them that makes them doubly susceptible to sin: first, they have to deal with sexual temptations like everyone, but secondly, the fruition of that temptation itself is sinful. Thus, believers talk a lot about "overcoming" homosexuality, as on this site, and that it's an "identity problem." As a part of the site says, "God did create me to be heterosexual, and through Jesus Christ my heterosexuality is restored." I suppose that's why this Idarwin and many others have so many painful experiences of trying to right what they have known about themselves since a young age and what they learn in church. How contemptible. (October 8, 2010 at 1:48 pm)theophilus Wrote: Here is a good place to learn about homosexuality from a Biblical perspective: "Learning" would be an overstatement. Reading about how believers attempt so many doctrinal acrobatic tricks to try to right what we know from science might be more accurate.

Welcome Idarwin.
I was at church a few weeks ago and for the first time ever, a pastor talked about homosexuality, he didnt condem, dare I say, he used the four letter word which would of got him a lot of hate mail - love. Anyways I challenge you that you dont hate God or think he is imiginary, you just hate the church game. God created you as a homosexual Why would God do that? God is not real Most Atheists do the same thing. God sends people to hell for eternity I cant imagine a God who would do that Therefore God does not exist I nearly did the same thing God hasnt really been there for me or for others in my life God should be, as it says in the Bible Therefore, a transcendent God does not exist We all go through rough patches mate, its life...
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.

I love logic, math, science, ect... And logically, I couldn't figure out why this good loving God would make me gay.If you are familiar with the Bible you should know that the human race is no longer in the condition in which God created it. Because of sin we are now subject to death and are tempted to act in ways that are contrary to God's will. All of us are tempted in different ways and being attracted to others of the same sex is just on manifestation of a condition that everyone experiences. I could say aliens dont exist, which means, 'Im too niave and close minded to believe they exist.' Just because I dont have evidence for God's existence doesnt mean He doesnt exist...

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
