The 1st equation, you're using number of cakes/number of pieces, which really just tells you how big each piece is.
The 2nd equation, you're using Number of Cakes/Number of Cuts, which doesn't tell you anything.

This again?
This has already been settled once and for all pool.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Math lords call this - 0/1= Undefined *bold mine
if you take 0 cakes divided into 1 piece then you still get 0 cakes.
if on the other hand you take 1 cake and turn it to 0 piece (keep in mind the cake itself as a whole is 1 piece), then you've magically transported it to another dimension, and hence it's status is undefined.

How else would you translate 'cake/0' into english
Dividing a cake into no parts means leaving the cake as it is, don't it?
That (my bolded) is your problem. "Cake divided into zero pieces" makes no sense in any language*. Leaving the cake uncut is not dividing it at all, certainly not by zero. Leaving the cake uncut is leaving it whole, i.e., in one piece.
*Gibberish is not a real language.

W'ist is right. I suck at math and even I understand this.
None of this matters because as per the other thread, I ate the damn cake.

You cut this virtually non existent cake into two pieces - 0/2
What are you left with? NOTHING
Math lords call this - 0/2=0
Ok, so that's in the clear. Moving on :
You have a cake - 1
You do NOT cut this cake into pieces - 1/0
What are you left with after NOT cutting the cake? The goddamn cake, right?
Then why the hell do
Math lords call this - 0/1= Undefined
So what they're saying is you go to a supermarket, right? And you buy a cake and you decide you don't want to cut up the cake, right? You DON'T cut up the cake. Well guess what? You're screwed cos POOF! You open your bag and your cake is gone. All you're left with is a note that reads "error LOL"
I'm nowhere close to being gifted at math (I enjoy it and that's all), but IMO, in order to understand math, students will ultimately have to put the concepts in their own words and internalize them in a manner that best suits their learning styles. Now, with that said, I'd like to challenge you to continue with your reasoning in bold. Lets assume that the statement is that "if one person has a cake and doesn't divide it into any pieces, then he or she has 1/1=1 cake (lets say that this is true). Now, lets assume to the contrary that this is not true. In fact, suppose that 1/0 is the correct way to divide a cake, so that one person can have a whole cake to himself or herself.
Now, moving forward from this reasoning along with your reasoning in the op, see if you can generate some kind of contradiction. For example, what happens when you divide 1 cake by 1/2 or 1 cake by 1/4 or 1 cake by 1/100. As we divide by numbers that get closer and closer to zero, what happens to the number of cakes that we have? If we were to divide by zero, then how many cakes would we have?
