Oh! You just reminded me of one of my definite "supposed to like" but don't things. More general than Taylor Swift.
And that is: pop music in general.
Or pretty much anything non-prog. Now, I mean progressive, not prog rock. A lot of my favorite music is more progressive techno. All genres can be progressive, and I tend to find that no matter what the genre is, if it's good music and it's progressive... I like it.
I mean, I even like prog-pop if done right. But I still think that by being proggy... that in itself makes it "more than pop".
This being an example:
Kind of too long (at almost 7 minutes) and sophisticated for your standard pop song... but still catchy and pop rocky as fuck.

I hate Christian Rock. Sure there are some songs from christian rock bands that I do like, but those songs don't have the god delusion in them.

Interesting POV.
Personally the first thing I do when I hear music is ignore vocals and see if I like the instrumentation underneath, the second thing I do is listen to the vocals on top of the instrumentation but ignore the lyrics and I see if I like the sound of the vocals on top of the instruments, the third thing I do is listen to the lyrics.
The first step is the most important for me, then the 2nd step, then the 3rd step. Although the 2nd step is as important as the first step if it's a song with extremely predominant vocalization. Although I tend to prefer songs that embelish the instrumentation with vocals, even if the vocals are a huge part of the song.
My favorite song of all time:
Vocals but zero lyrics. The vocals are a huge part. But... obviously, just the vocals without the rest of the music and you've not really got a song at all. Whereas if you listen to all the other instruments and remove the vocals, it still sounds awesome as fuck, it just feels like there's something missing.
Now here's a version with lyrics:
Also great. But I think the version without the lyrics is more sublime and ethereal.

For some reason I like religious hymns (especially singing them), but Christian Rock just sounds ridiculously hokey.

I think this may be in Latin, or it may be ancient Greek. But either way it's sung in an ancient language, it's a hymn about God... it's my personal favorite and I think it sounds absolutely gorgeous:
Although it suggests it's an ancient Gothic language actually. Not sure what that is.
I don't care what language it is ultimately, I think it sounds beautiful.
ETA:
It's no coincidence that my favorite band of all time sampled my favorite section from it.
And it's right at the very start of this version of their song:
Fucking gorgeous.

This guy on youtube called Pellek that claims to be a metal singer. He sucks though, when he sings it sounds like he's trying to do power metal but his highs are either screechy or flat while his lows sounds unenthusiastic. What's worse is that this fucker got famous because Power Rangers fans like his awful cover of the Power Rangers theme songs. I basically refer to him as the metal onision.

I don't think anyone is really supposed to like Christian rock.

Yes!
I get a hankerin' for it every so often -- and by that I mean once a year or two -- and then I'm reminded why that hankerin' takes so long to revisit.
Although I will say it's been a long time since I've made ceviche ... oh, shit. Here comes that hankerin' again.
