I don't think it's immoral as long as everybody knows what's going on and is ok with it.
I don't see myself trying it though. It's going to be hard enough to get one girlfriend, even after I get my life in order.

What if someone who has more partners also shares interests with them, so they can practice their hobbies together? And what if all partners date at the same time? If someone can't handle more than one partner, or any partner at all, that's fine.

I imagine that a person's thoughts about polyamory are inversely proportional to their thoughts about fornication.

I think the main complication is jealousy.
There might be some hygiene issues you have to keep ontop of a bit more I imagine. More bodies sharing bodily fluids, I'd have to guess that increases risk.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Don't we have a member who has two girlfriends and they all date each other? Maybe he can give us insight.
As for me, age has brought many things into my 32 year old head and taken many others. I don't dwell on things that wouldn't make sense in my life. I can barely afford to take one person on a date, I can't take two. I have two kids to love, nurture, look after... I don't feel like adding two or more people. I get more tired faster. Fuck having to maintain my energy levels high enough to be a mother of two, AND have a relationship with two or more other people. People say "the more the merrier", but I think there would be more drama and it would take extra work for everyone to feel appreciated, loved, acknowledged. I think it is possible to love more than one person, but I also think it's not practical.
I'm too old for a porn style life. Maybe I've also matured. In real life, some things aren't as exciting when put into practice and all they do is drain you. For twenty something year olds, perhaps it might be fun. For a grown ass woman like me, not so much. When I care about someone, I fucking give my everything. I want them to know. If I were in a polyamory relationship, I'd be worried all the time about how they felt when I didn't balance things out just perfectly.
So, if I'm not ready to be in a monogamous relationship, I rather just be truthful and continue to date people enjoying the freedom of casualness. But... if I ever do enter a true relationship, it will probably be vanilla, in the sense that there won't be a third mouth to feed when going out to dinner, and we'll probably spend most of our time sometimes talking about life stuff while drinking IPAs, and sometimes in complete silence not worrying about the other being upset, because I was smart enough to pick someone who doesn't mind giving me space.
In conclusion, polyamory... not for me. I changed my mind. If someone has the enery for it, enjoy.

I think that - so many, many other aspects of human life - it is the business of the people involved, and no one else.
That being said, it isn't for me (I've always been a serial monogamist), but it is hardly my business to tell other people who or how many they should love.

It seems to have worked for Charlie Manson, Warren Jeffs and David Koresh, at least for a while.

Not for me, and in my personal opinion, not moral.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
