What do you consider the "contributions of the European peoples" that you referenced?

Good question.

1. The Roman Empire.

2. Electricity.

3. Democracy.

4. Mathematics

5. Classical music

6. Art movements of all sorts

7. The great poetry and literature of Europe and the building of cities on a massive scale.

Keep in mind I don't hate any peoples and think hatred is wrong. I am only celebrating my pride in my heritage, exactly as people at the St. Patrick's day parade do

The aqueduct?
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

The wine.

Yeah, that's something we'd really miss, Reg, if the Romans left.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What have the Romans ever done for us?

I wish to discuss religion and politics with you.

I am someone who values the contributions of the European peoples, and the Christian cultures in general.

What a pity.  I'm Northern European in heritage but have been culturally ecumenical all my life.  A monoculture society, IMO, is a dead end and I believe that all people are greater than their respective cultures. Oh, and as this is an intro thread... Hæ!
