Have you ever read the documents of Vatican II? They say all the religion of the world have some truth to them.

I'm finding a pattern where religious people tend to just accept what people say as truth.
It's those silly hats, isn't it? They're mesmerising.!
No God, No fear.

That is disgusting! Who taught you to speak to a lady like that?

If I were your mother I would scrub your mouth out with soap!

I'm probably old enough to be your father, young lady.  If I have to put you over my knee I'll expect you to address me as "sir" when you beg for another.   Tongue

It is just so beautiful truly it is.

I just think as far as religions go buddhism is fairly inoffensive.

Again I'm not a fire and brimstone Catholic. I feel sad at the bad things that have been committed in our name for years.

I used to find some solace in the fact that other religions did rotten and cruel things.

But of the major religions buddhism alone seems uniquely innocent almost

Ok, I have been reading on the site and realise this person is not really a genuine person so I am withdrawing my answer...

What do godless think of Buddhism? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism.

It seems such a peaceful religion that definitly doesn't advocate violence. It barely advocates God even.

It's idea of "sin" is being stressed out and out of whack generally.

It's idea of "virtue" or "saintliness" appears to be sitting peacefully sipping a mug of green tea.

I'm an ex-Buddhist from Myanmar (have been an atheist for a long time now) and all I can say is that it's a religion that has a lot of irrational beliefs and superstition.

There are good values such as being mindful and having compassion towards others but the superstitious dogmas get people believing in all sorts of wacky stuff.

They need to be more rational.
