Thank you for doing that for him <3
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I'd say the top 5 reasons we get for why dogs are surrendered to us are:
1. The animal needs medical attention that the owner can't afford.
2. The human is ill and can no longer care for the dog.
3. The human wanted a puppy and forgot how much work a puppy was.
4. The human has lost his job and can't afford to keep the animal.
5. The human works/travels too much and doesn't feel it is fair to the animal to be alone/boarded so much.
Of course, a lot of what humans tell us about their reasons turns out to be total bullshit, too. The dogs never bullshit us.

If there was a Heaven, the first people to get in should be those who provide care to those who cannot care for themselves. That's about the ultimate act of goodness.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I get to meet him on Tuesday. He has an appointment to get his stitches out and we want to speak to the doctor about an x-ray they took of his hip. Our Vet Care Coordinator is a retired orthopedic nurse so she knows her shit.
