Sceptic"s annotated Quran

Sceptic"s annotated Quran
I invite mulims of this forum to give a link to a site that explains that those are not contradictions(If you google sceptics annotated Qur'an you can see the list of contradictions) and why are they not if that kind of link exists.

Or can you please post answeres as to why are those not contradictions. One of the most serious contradictions in the Qur'an would be how it says that to set up parnters in worship with God is not to be forgiven iregardles of repentance. The verses 4:48 and and 4:116 mention it and than in the others verse at 39:53 says not to despair of Gods mercy for he forgives all sins.

Again in 25:68....70 in the Quran it clearly states that worshiping other than God will be forgiven if you repent.

Can you please give me explanations how after knowing this you still accept the Quran and take it seriously?

Thanks

I'd say some bloke flying in to the clouds on horseback and also the splitting the moon was more of a reason not to take that stupid book seriously. But your way is good too Tongue

haha, but no valid points mate, would love to hear some Muslims answer in here, expecting the usual bollocks though.

Posting the links for you, Ervin.

Specifically the contradictions:

Anyhow, I should think that if they are not a Quran literalist (it is written, therefore true): they should remain entirely unfazed by your questions. No idea how perfect literalists solve some of them, though a number of them can be resolved along various lines, such as errors by future copiers. Also depends on how good they are with thinking creatively.

Is there a lego Koran like there is bible?

That would be my preffered way of learning it.

Considering how much money and time the artist put into the first one... that would be probably be cruel to ask of him. It isn't published online as of today, to the extent of my knowledge on the subject (reinforced by a number of google searches this time, yay!!!!)... though whether or not it is in development I don't have anything I would call reliable enough to pass judgement upon.

RE: Sceptic"s annotated Quran
I kind of believe that there might be some sort of creative force behind everything, now that creative force might be inteligent, so I am going to call that creative force God.

So I am looking into diferent explanations for what is God like and because of the reality of sufering I would say that God would be someone who can handle our pain otherwise I believe he would prevent it. The theistic God is described as such since there is punishment of eternal torment.

This kind of thinking sometimes leads me to reading the Quran and trying to understand and see if it is possible that it might be realy inspired by God. And the only answer that I got so far is that its only the literalists who would be fazed by my question.

I would like to say to all the traditional muslims, I don't mean to offend, I am simply looking for how do you explain the contradictions?

Thanks

There might indeed be an intelligent creator, though I am faithful that there is not, so I would have to be wrong if there is one or more. A creative force (with intelligence) could be an intelligence spawned by the Big Bang, or it could be video game designers. But the intent of the idea is the same. Smile I shy away from the religious answers because I frankly don't see why a God or gods would require anything of us (things that they designed). But then I might suffer from not having the intellectual capacity of understanding such a being... not unlike how a termite could hardly be expected to understand a television. Smile

Though one should also note that such a being might be malevolent, and actively seek to cause pain for whatever sadistic whim. Sometimes I could swear a being like this exists Tongue

I can be inspired by a great piece of art, such that I do not attempt to replicate the perfection I see, but form a tribute to it in what ways I can. The Bible and Quran, if truly inspired by God, are simply written by others that admire Him (and/or his works). A literalist expects that the people who wrote this got their words from God, and therefore they are perfect. Others, like me, don't demand perfection out of a review of a perfect thing. Does this better help explain how it might be inspired by God?
