Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Now you've put me between a rock of ages and a hard place.

Where I live I can't talk directly to a single atheist, this forum really helps me out. I'm also grateful for atheist youtubers and atheist memes. I'm grateful that I found on the Internet information about atheists in history and contemporary nonbelievers. I'm grateful that I found arguments pro and con atheism. The Internet really helped me become an atheist, it helped me discover who I should be. I appreciate this thread. I have one close friend with whom I can pretty much discuss all sorts of nerdy and radical things. However, for the most part, I have grown accustomed to continually editing my thoughts/speech when I'm around others (especially in a general setting such as work, public places, etc.) and pretty much keeping to myself. Hence, sites like this provide a nice place for me to actually be myself and not have to worry as much about people assuming that I'm strange, arrogant, fake (I've certainly gotten that here, but it hasn't been that bad) , or some kind of mutant freak from another planet with oddball/crazy ideas. Well, I appreciate this thread, and I'm glad that the internet has helped you learn/discover more about yourself. I wish you luck in your journey of growth and self-cultivation. Live long and prosper. RE: The Internet is my refuge as an atheist

This forum is doing a special service to societies the world over.
As we all know, as atheists, we have no morals, so speaking to each other here is numbing the urge to go out and rape and kill. I haven't killed anyone for that long it's not funny! At least 6 posts! At least! Shit! gotta go, sorry.
