Was I traumatized by religion?

RE: Was I traumatized by religion?
It doesn't matter if people have worse problems than you have , they aren't real for you so that kind of information doesn't help .
In my case , I considered religion pointless for me at 17-18 years old something like that but I kept the ideea of God. It doesn't really bother me that I might not have a eternal life after this , because most of us have good lifes and we have the luck to live them but that isn't the case for many people.
My advice is to try and see how this things affect your life.

It also doesn't bother me that an afterlife might not exist for the exact same reasons.
About the information that others have worse problems not being helpful, it might make you feel grateful for what you have, and it might determine some to help the needy. I agree that it's not always helpful, and that I shouldn't concentrate too much on it.

That took a good deal of honesty and self insight.  Well done.

Thankyou.
Humans belong to God by default. First by creation and secondly by the sacrifice of Christ.

Religions put a barrier between man and God, and then set up stairways to heaven which go nowhere.

As far as God is concerned, every human being is entitled to heaven, and the only condition of salvation is repentance. The surrender/changing of a heart that says "no this isn't for me because of...." whatever.
