Kirk Douglas Turns 101

I'm considering writing a lit of all the things that have come into and gone out of existence within his lifetime, but I know that will be really long, so here's a brief list to start:

1) The Soviet Union
2) World War 2
3) The terms of 15 American presidents
4) Two of the four members of the Beatles.

5) World War I too. Kirk Douglas was two years when that war ended.

7) Korea and Viet Nam
8) The assassination of President Kennedy, (I was in the third grade when that happened and I can still remember it).
9) John Glenn orbited the Earth

Actually, my idea was for things that started AND ended while Kirk Douglas was still alive. So WW1 would be out, since it started a full two years before he was born. It’s fascinating to see how much can happen in one lifetime, especially if it is over a century.

I remember Kirk Douglas on talk shows in the '70s discussing his fitness routines. He would do hundreds of push ups and sit ups to start his day.

I wear a goatee or full beard because I have a lame chin. If I had a chin like Kirk Douglas I would flaunt it!
