1,000 year observed span between the rings! Hummm?

Uhhhh, The first tree appeared in the Devonian, which is like 280 million years after snowball earth.
There were far more time elapsed between the end of the last snowball earth and the first tree with rings than had elapsed between when the first dinosaur walked the earth and now.
As far as we know, there wasn’t even multi-celluar plants right before or after the snowball earth. Tough to grow a ring with only one cell, don’t you think?

I notice in the geologic time line that flowers are new. I always argued that birds, bee, flowers and trees must have existed at the same time. Yet, flowers are new. Plant life must have existed prior to flowers because of the existence of oil. What you say?

The fact that flowering plants co-evolved with birds and insects to require birds or insects to pollenate over the last 130 million years does not necessarily imply the first impetus towards evolving in this direction by plants necessarily came from insects or birds. The first impetus for the most primitive flower like organ could be to better pollenate by wind, for example.
But, flying insects and flying reptiles have existed during the entirety re period when flowering plants have existed.

Here's a general time frame....
Trees: 385mya
Flowers: 130mya
Bees: 65mya minimum, new evidence says up to 120mya
Birds (avian dinosaurs): 150mya, significantly less if only looking at birds "as we know them"

If my memory serves correctly the chronological order should be trees, birds, flowers then bees. Tress have been around for 380 million years or so. Birds are 150ish million years old. Flowers are 140ish million years old. And bees are a relative newcomer at less than 100 million years. Plants in general predate trees by a lot. Depending on how you define plant you could be talking about more than 3 billion years if you count cyanobacteria.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.

The bible does not say when God made the universe and the earth. It does not say "In 'THE'(added) beginning". It does not say that God "created" anything: that's a bad translation. It says He made everything and nothing caused itself to be. Yet, there does appear to be a timeline between Universe and earth and between earth and snowball. According to Hebrew syntax Gen 1:1 is constructive and sequential. Whereas, verse two is disjunctive which indicates something happened to the Earth and also indicates it was in a snowball state. I'm just telling what the bible actually says. I'm not trying to argue.
