On paper it doesn't sound bad, but this reminds me of when police would go after black people just for driving a really nice car. It could easily be used to go after people who are considered unworthy, whether they actually bought it or not.

They still do, all over the place. In London the stop and search rate is (IIRC) nine times higher for black men than it is for white.
