Are you kidding?  Have you seen the price of ice?

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

If I answer questions, can I get some fish heads also?

Have you taken a look at Mermin's article 'Is the moon there when nobody looks? Reality and quantum theory'? It's well worth a look if you haven't. it is written by a rather famous physicist in solid state theory.

I can't post a link yet, so do a google search for Mermin and Moon. Look for a PDF file with the article.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely be looking for it. For some reason it reminds me of a very short story where aliens are confounded that we humans are sentient meat. Maybe that's one everyone here already knows. If not, I'd be happy to post it.
Kind Regards,

In general, what do I have to do to ask the staff? Is there a special thread?

I'm new enough I am still learning the basics.
