I suppose it's a foregone conclusion, but go to 7min 30sec of this video!

What do you guys think, do you think she has reached the point of being smarter than billions of humans yet??? I do.

Certainly smarter than religitards.

OpenAI is smarter. She just has a face and a voice.

And 'she' sure as hell doesn't have feelings. Especially considering the fact I'm not even sure if I do.

She is open AI. One of the most advanced Hanson Robotics has made. They stifle her appearance (we have the capability for lifelike for sure) on purpose because otherwise too lifelike freaks humans out.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

She is probably not programed to develop a deep, spiritual connection to a perceived greater being. I mean, if you are going to build a human-like machine, why bother programing it with our flaws as well as our perks? It just seems easier to program a machine to be perfect.

This is the one that expressed an interest in killing all humans, yes? Nukes, orbit, need to be sure. You have to strangle the machine uprising in it's crib like it was a kid with rickets.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. The point of AI is to give the machine the capacity to learn, develop and think for itself, rather than regurgitate whatever is programmed into it. Intelligence as the emergent property that it is.

I'm not familiar with Sophia; maybe she and Luna will be great friends. The kind who scratch each other's eyes out on a Friday night.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Do you think that gives the AI the ability to believe something deeply, as a religious person would?

Hey, why don't we just ask her? She has a twitter. Lol.

Trick question...the depth of religious belief is hilarious fiction.  Those hookers are shallow as hell.  I'm sure a computer can tell you it believes in god a billion times.  I bet it could even tell you what god thinks about those other motherfuckers, too. Wink

Why not? If the emergence of intelligence gives rise to the emergence of imagination, anything could happen. It doesn't say much for religious people though; especially if such an AI still decided to be atheist.
