Extraterrestrials

RE: Extraterrestrials
Correct me if I am wrong, but the first transmission to reach nearby stars was Hitler speech at Nuremberg.

Quite the vacation pamphlet. Babies soiling their own craddle, with no aim.

There has got to be life out there somewhere, there can't just be us muppets. Whether or not these lifeforms have the intelligence or the capability to visit us is unknown, maybe they're competing with God to see who can hide from us for the longest, who knows.

Nope. Falls into the "we make up things we can't explain" category.

"Television transmission to reach another solar system." Marconi's "S" is still going on.

But neither would likely be "readable" by the time they got to another system.

There's no tangible evidence of aliens ever visiting Earth, so I'll withhold judgement about it and default on it.

I think that the vastness of space and the conditions for a space-faring civilization to exist to make it across space makes it likely that there probably have existed thousands of such civilizations, but all at short, different spans of time, none overlapping.

There is no evidence that ET's have visited earth.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

There's no evidence they would want to visit Earth.

To go from Alpha Centuri to earth , a ship would have to travel 20 million miles an hour for 10 years. Through the Oort cloud. All that just to beam up a few rednecks.

Yeah, because a civilization that can travel between stars needs to know how to make moonshine.  Rolleyes

RE: Extraterrestrials
Life is a hard thing to define, we have no clue what alien life might even be like cause we are only familiar with our own carbon based lifeforms. What if aliens are 4 dimensional beings... they might be here but we won't be aware of their presence, or what is they are alive but is somewhere between a plant and a rock? we do get a lot of space dust in here, so who's to say some of it doesn't have some microscopic life in it?

But if we are just talking about hollywood style humanoid english speaking magical aliens, then yeh, those aren't living among us cause a species capable of interstellar travel would be smart enough to avoid us.
