Maybe something along the lines of, "I feel sorry for you that you can't follow the conversation. Maybe a book would help?"

Maybe try, 'You mean like those other bookish nerds Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Elon Musk?'

You know, like somebody accused me here:
A forum post accusing me of being too bookish and nerdy

Offer them crayons and a coloring book!

When I first started teaching math it wasn't unusual to hear someone in humanities casually announce they never could "do math" or something like that.  To help them get perspective I liked to cop this attitude here.  Nope, never could read a lick.  Who would want to?  Just wind up one more cross eyed bookish nerd.

Find another way to occupy your time rather than worrying about what someone on the internet that you'll never meet has said to you.

Open a book of Shakespeare or Cicero and read it aloud to them for three hours straight, stopping every so often for an in-depth analysis of certain passages.

Two options:

1.  Hit them with a heavy book/folder/sharp object.
2. Explain to them, in gratuitous detail, why knowing everything about the Force doesn't make you nerdy.

Or, 3.  Hire Beccs to kill them.
