RE: Absolutely mortified
Ah. Yes. iPhone. I just pressed the message I wanted to delete and it gave me that.

Sorry, CL. Sad

Sad
For future ref heh

Do you have an Iphone? I have android and it doesn't give me those options, as far as I can tell...

If it's WhatsApp it should be the same on all platforms (ie android and iPhone)...so maybe you need to update your app first Wink

I've also noticed that on my mom's iPhone it tells you who has seen what message on whatsapp. On mine, it doesn't. I always assumed it was bc she had an iPhone and I didnt...

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. The same app on different appstores often do behave differently, in my experience.

Mine doesn't have it either (mine's android too). Long press on a message, press the delete icon, and the it gave the options of cancel and 'delete for me'... but not 'delete for everyone'... so maybe, like editing on this site, there's a time window attached to that, after which you can no longer 'delete for everyone'. Just a theory... so it might still be within that window if you try it now.

I've already tried it. It was the first thing I did. Unfortunately it only deleted it off of my screen but gave no option to delete it for everyone else.

Yeah, it seems so after all. It's just that in the app programming world, there are programs that can produce code for any platform... like Unity for making games... to make it easier on the programmer to publish on many different platforms. But I guess it's not the case with WhatsApp unfortunately.

Right... yeah it looks like it's different on android than iPhone Sad I'll have a play around with it and get back to you if I find anything Smile
