@CL I've just tested with a new message and it does have the option to delete for everyone... so I think it does indeed have a short window like I suggested and since the person I'm testing with is basically confused (as I've just sent them a message saying 'just testing something' and they've replied along the lines of 'ohhkay'), that shows they've read it, but the option to delete for everyone is still there, so that's further support for the theory that there's a fixed time window of opportunity for deleting for everyone, which unfortunately it looks like you've missed.

Unfortunately, I think you're too late. The first time I tested by just picking a random message I'd sent in the past, in which case it just said 'delete for me', but this time I just sent a new message and did exactly the same steps and it had the option for everyone... even after the other person had read it... but now, looking at it again, about twenty minutes later, the option for everyone is gone, so it looks like it's a very short window of opportunity... maybe ten to fifteen minutes or less.

Okay, I've tested it a bit more thoroughly, checking at one minute intervals (the things I do for you  ); the window appears to be nine minutes or thereabouts... ie a message sent in the minute of 22:10 my time had the option to delete for everyone at 22:18 but the option was gone at 22:19.
