Recycling horror (not for the squeamish)

Recycling horror (not for the squeamish)
Damn, this is a tough one.  Had a 3 year old kid.  Very tragic.  Horrific for the workers who found him too . . . .

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Look out for those bloody tires! Confused
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

not to be gross but . . .

tire shredders to my knowledge don't run as fast as log chippers.

Wow that is awful... Sad
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

https://www.osha.gov/oshstats/commonstats.html

Quote:Federal OSHA is a small agency; with our state partners we have approximately 2,100 inspectors responsible for the health and safety of 130 million workers, employed at more than 8 million worksites around the nation — which translates to about one compliance officer for every 59,000 workers.

I'd say I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often but, it does.

Quote:5,190 workers were killed on the job in 2016 [https://www.bls.gov/news.release/cfoi.nr0.htm] (3.6 per 100,000 full-time equivalent workers) — on average, more than 99 a week or more than 14 deaths every day.

It simply does not get the coverage.

I went to undergrad in a town with an ALPO dog food plant. Heard all kinds of stories (none confirmed).
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Business owners should be held responsible for their workers safety.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
