Thank you.... we've already had more than a couple happy years and have been essentially living as a married couple.  We didn't feel like we needed the state's blessing, and certainly not any church.  But the practical matter of it is that a legal spouse has a lot more rights than a common-law one.

When you've basically been living together as a happily married couple before you were married.... that indeed seems like the perfect time to get married!

Not with my ex-wife it wasn't...but she and I communicate very well, and are on the same page regarding all of the important stuff like the big three (kids, money, and sex).
