Went to church today

Nice people yes, but that is why I stopped attending. Most of them liberals and very full of empathy, but I just could not get past the old mythology and superstition. Very diverse group too. We had members from every major religion you could think of.

One of there members was a WW2 vet who served in Europe, he was an atheist then and died an atheist. Another black guy, also an atheist served in Nam. He was an atheist then. But one day after a service, he divulged to me that he had once had a heart attack, and that didn't make him have a sudden conversion.

Theists cannot wrap their head around the fact that atheists do not need their clubs or deities to do good and be good and feel love and joy. And yes we can get along with theists too. I wouldn't say all, but there certainly are many atheists can get along with. Conservatism in any religion holds back progress.

Under what circumstances is an atheist escorting a schizophrenic couple to religious services?

I'm one of their support workers.
In this case I'm just the transporter but I figure it may be fun to see what transpires inside rather than wait in the car.
If you think x-tians have some wacky ideas, the lady of this couple is a goddess and is still considering whether to be in the bible or not.
One of her followers is Luke Skywalker, not the actor, the real Luke Skywalker. :-)

Wow. Some people get all the fun delusions.

Wow. Rather than attending religious services, maybe she should be leading them. And I hope she goes ahead and decides to be in the bible; it'd make it a lot more interesting. And while we're at it, Luke Skywalker ought to be in there too. Maybe in place of Moses. He could use the force to part the Red Sea, so the Jews would still get liberated. Or better yet, he could just Jedi mind trick Pharaoh and avoid the plagues altogether.

You like VNV Nation? Are you into futurepop? Some people might think of them as Alternative Dance.

Geez, I don't know my genres too well, much less subgenres. A cybergot chick I knew back in Pennsylvania liked them, so I decided I'd go to a concert that she was coming down from Erie for. They weren't bad at all. But what I listen to is a mix of indie, 80's and 90's pop and punkish stuff, drone, ambient techno, and old jazz.

Provo, Utah has a good classical station (KBYU, I think), and they've had that Mormon Tabernacle Choir on there.
