You are both right. I should debate former Muslims. See what they have to say.

That's a fantastic idea!

I need to know what's up. I need to know what problems they have with it. It seems flawless to me at the moment and I am of an unorthodox approach I take to the religion through reflecting on the traditions of Ahlulbayt (as) and Quran together, not interpreting to desires neither following hadiths to a conjecture system known as "ilmel Rijaal".

But I can't expect you guys to understand what you haven't studied. At least they studied. So if they know problems, it would be them to show it, while I doubt they know any that was not on my list of "40 problems" I had in the past and the 28 issues I posted on Muslim forums.

What I am about to day, ALSO applies to the Christian members here too.

I notice that all the theists, regardless of label, have tunnel vision on this website and stick to debating only atheists.

If Christians and Muslims want to see what we see, IT IS OK for you to debate each other too.

At a minimum, if you are a Muslim, read the atheist vs Christian threads. If you are a Christian, read the atheist vs Muslim threads.

I say Christian and Muslim because those are the most theists we have here, but that also applies to any Jews or Buddhists or Hindus whom might become members. My argument is the same with every label. I may like you personally, but that does not mean I like your logic when you base it on the writings of antiquity. REGARDLESS OF LABEL, "That was then, this is now."

Sure. If by "ABBA is the best band in the world" you mean "ABBA's music is a bunch of melodramatic, radio-friendly, unprofound poppy shite lacking in any real musical depth and taking you on no truly deep sonically layered journey", sure Tongue

I rip the bible to shreds too. But I'd also attack your logic if you were a Hindu claiming your religion is the seat of humanity, the same with Jews and Buddhists.

I will always VALUE my species ability for compassion, empathy and non violence. We as a species don't always do that, but I do VALUE our potential to do those things.

I don't always agree with my fellow atheists either. I've gone after atheist who support Trump. I've gone after atheist who support Che, the guy who lead to Castro's Cuba. I've gone after atheists who support our gun worship on par with right wing Christians.

But I promise anyone of any label, not just you, if you are non violent and don't seek my arrest, and and don't threaten me with violence, the worst you are going to get from me is, "That is not true" or "bullshit". I have the same attitude towards anyone of any label.

My Mom was a life time Catholic, I was raised Catholic myself, I ditched it, she didn't, she died a Catholic. That is a person I LOVED very deeply. But no, I don't buy the claims of that club, just like I don't buy your claims, just like you don't buy the claims of Hindus or Buddhists.

How much of Harry Potter do you have to read to know it is made up?

That is how I feel about ALL of antiquity worldwide. Not just you, not just your religion.

Humans didn't know any better back then. I love Catholic Lady here, but I would also say the same thing to her, "That was then, this is now."

The Ancient Mayans made religious claims too, why do you reject those claims? The ancient Egyptians made religious claims too, yet you rightfully reject those claims.

Try understanding that, then it should be easy for you to understand why we reject your claims as well.

MK; throw the values and orders thrown at you by your culture and society to be free and rest in piece from all this hassle. You understand who I mean.

Your local Imam, your preachers at your local community; your parents, all. You won't crack the shell you're stuck inside until you break its walls. Even if you have schizophrenia, even your mind is gone; never ever forget this. We die alone; nobody goes with us to the afterlife; so ignore your society.

I don't tell you to become an atheist. Stay a Muslim; but look closely at your local society and you'll know they don't worth following or even worth a sacrifice from anybody. Hell; do you want me to list for you the times they screwed us -their own people- ?

Just as a remark: read about the Siege of Baghdad. If you want to study history; begin reading from there, but take a shower afterwards. Before a couple of months I told you to take a shower to make fun of you and I'm sorry; but this time I tell you so because probably you'll vomit on yourself after reading about what the Mongols did to the people of Baghdad. You judge after that.

Stay tight.

Whatever you decide, good luck with it. We all have to get our intellectual stimulation somewhere. If the interactions you're experiencing on this site causes you distress, try another. If the new one makes you miss this one, you're welcome back as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
