Do with it what is best for the community, economically feasible and profitable.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

You think you have a problem? From Mathilda's earlier link on a similar issue but a far greater problem.

Absolutely gorgeous. Problem is, we have thousands of the bastard things and between them they don't have a pot to piss in.

What to do???

What a novel idea!

But do you think it would be moral for a place of God to take your money?

Yes, Yes, I know. I'm a funny bastard!

Aesthetically pleasing place to hide some cell phone gear.

I can't be the first or only one to think of this . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

There was nothing to stop a religious organisation from buying it up. They bring in billions every year.

But, of course, many of those seem motivated by the need for money, too.

Unfortunately the monastery is not protected from being demolished because it is not registered as a historic place. However some plans that the buyer has is to convert it into a hotel or a spa. Personally while I am not religious myself nor do I have any personal connection to this building, this actually makes me quite uncomfortable for some reason. Seems it would be better to preserve this building to it's originality inside and out. It is only 80 years old, but still it is actually quite remarkable to drive by. We also have San Xavier Del Bac mission here as well which is also astounding. That thankfully is registered on the national registry. As I stated before, while I am not religious nor believe in a God, I do appreciate this architecture. What are your thoughts?

I think it is important to note that they did try to find a religious buyer, but that was a no go for them. Boy, if I was a billionaire or something I would buy buildings like these for a collection of the sort.

Interesting.  The building is not registered as a historic place because the previous owner believed listing it as such would reduce its sales value.

This suggests if they tried to find a religious buyer, then the religiousity of the buyer wasn’t worth a reduction in the sales price.

If event the church doesn’t think the building is worth its monetary value, who are we to argue?

Is that it?
I've only just now bothered to find a photo of the thing, the links in the OP were pay walled or had auto play videos so I fucked them off. But anyway is that it? It looks a bit... Costa Del Sol to me.

There is a former church in a town near me that has been turned into a brew pub. I can't wait to visit it and say how much more useful that old building is!
