You think we have 4 years. He just threatened Russia with missiles. On Twitter. That isn't a president that's Alf Garnet with a platform.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

He didn't threaten Russia with missiles on twitter.  The US is going to hit Syria.  Russia says it'll shoot down missiles US fires at Syria.  Trump says "I don't think you can."

Nowhere in there is he threatening to strike Russian targets.

Hah, the shit we'll bomb was probably sold to Assad by the Russians. We probably are hitting Russian targets, in a way.

I guess.  But we've bombed plenty of US targets over the years using that standard.

Putin is KGB. KGB skills in manipulating human intelligence assets puts any American intelligence agency to shame. One of the tricks of managing a foreign official whom you have secretly turned is to allow him to be seen doing something major to hurt your country.   That way the foreign official is seen as patriotic, ssuspicion on him is deflected, and he remains in a position of trust amongst your enemies,  and he remains available for further and more effective use at more decisive moments.

Putin needs trump to stay in power.   Putin, unlike trump, thinks ahead, and subordinates his personal vanity to his final goal.

Putin gets a far stiffer hard on from the disintegration of the western alliance and the collapse of inclusive, collaborative liberal democratic politics in the US than he could ever from being seen having the loofa faced shit gibbon personally sucking his cock.

If in putin’s Estimate, the price of keeping trump in power and continuing to shred American institutions, it’s system of alliance, and the global system which has enriched so much of the world at a pace Russia could not match is to let trump thump his chest and fling a missile or two at Russia, he would absolutely be pleased to pay that price.

Every day trump stays in power is yet another win for Putin and Russia on a scale that the entire inventory of American tomahawk missiles fired into down town Moscow could not begin of offset.

Does it ever give you pause that with all these events with an immense amount of variables you can't possibly know, you always confidently conclude the truth is a fairly extreme scenario that happens to line up with your political ideology?

You know that's how religious thinking works as well, right?  That there's some unknown variables, and they make a bunch of assumptions that they can't justify, that always happens to lead to confidence God exists.

Isn't it weird how the answers are always what you want them to be?
