I'm from Istanbul Turkey. And even in Istanbul (maybe with exception of few neighbourhoods) being open about homosexuality means you won't have a life (not in literal sense) and in eastern parts of Turkey it IS in literal sense.

This is true for Istanbul and Western shore and maybe(centre of Ankara) but for most of the parts it's still a huge Taboo. But for majority of people Active homosexuality is not considered as being homosexual.

In Kurdish populated areas it's much worse but this apply to almost whole anatolia.

I didn't say "human suffering", I said suffering.

Or for the whole process that is the Universe (that we see)

Suffering implies a sufferer or sufferers. I am talking about all sentient beings that suffer.(Since insentient beings can't suffer).

And besides...what suffering are you talking about?? Humans are really very cruel and mean to each other??

(Once again, I didn't say "human suffering", I said suffering.) I'm talking about all suffering. All suffering that goes on in the world. And, obviously, the more intense the suffering the worse it is.

Especially against Armenians, Kurds and Greeks but it's improving .
Racism against greeks started to diminish after 1999. But it has its roots
Anti-Armenian racism continues but after Assaniation of Hrant Dink, people's reaction to this murder is made difficult for racists to speak openly but you can see it on the Internet.
