It doesn't come in a can.

Instead, it's really hot and is distributed by flame thrower.

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!  Dang!!!!! Dont really care that you want to incinerate me with a flame thrower!.  I want to know why your calling me a "door knocker"?!
Still here!!!!!

Me too.  Any response to my suggestion that Christians just hold their faith in a less loud and proud manner?  You know, admit that God is a mystery and the bible, though hardly proof of anything, has been helpful for you and those who approach that mystery as you do?  Be genuinely humble enough about it and you might not only experience less blow-back in higher education settings, but also pass through the eye of that needle that the boastful never will.

Ok c172 a little intro of myself
As I stated in my post, I am a Christian.  49 years old.  I was raised in a Southern Baptist church from birth.  My family and I left the Baptist affiliation 4 years ago and started going to a non-denominational church.  I got tired of all the traditions and rules that the people were so hung up on.  We found a bible following church that cares more about others than themselves. And again, the reason I am on here is to pose the question for my personal bible study.  I try to better myself as a person and Christian.  I like to understand things from the actual persons mouth than making presumptions.  Again, not here to debate at all, but if anyone has a question about my belief thats fine. But i will not debate.  That tends to get ugly and offensive. I honestly appreciate peoples responses no matter what belief they may have.  Thanks
There's no such thing in the 21st Century as a Bible following church.  If anyone followed the Bible he would be locked up as a criminal.

The fact that you are still here is commendable.

As others have said, most theists come here, create one post, them leave never to return.

I am glad you are still here, and seem to be honestly trying to understand our position.

I just wish you wouldn't ignore so many posts relying to your points.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
