This is a very inspired thread!

I wouldn't mind the parallel threads that would be made. It's just annoying trying to comb through the shit posting when trying to have an honest discussion. So, as long as the mockery/insults were in a different thread, I wouldn't care.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I think that this is key here. I’m all for the ignorance and immaturity to be seen. Just so that it doesn’t detract from actual concersation.

I like the idea. So the main rule would be to remain civil and no insults etc?

That doesn’t go on here now does it? Big Grin

This thread is just totally redundant. It may as well get merged with CL's thread. It's the same fucking topic. But merging this thread with CL's thread is totally unnecessary work for the mod. This thread shouldn't exist it's completely redundant. What's the fucking point in making a thread about a thread unless it's a parody that's supposed to be funny or something?

A thread commenting on another thread? This is getting silly Kit.

And my position remains that she should remove the tree from her own eye before removing the mote from her nileighbour's. Her 'civility forum' idea will wuickly descend into fake civility, repression of dissent and circle jerking.
