Angel apparently caught on camera in Michigan!

RE: Angel apparently caught on camera in Michigan!
I am mightily intrigued as to why a moth on a lens is more newsworthy than a walking talking dead priest.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Some people (the people who took this image) are convinced it is a real angel, while others say it was likely just a moth on the lens of the camera. Logically, I guess we cannot conclude it is an angel, as we don't know what it is, what the cause of the image is, etc. There are a million things it could be, and just because we don't have an explanation doesn't give us the right to say it is one. I am not sure if these people saw this light in real life as they took the picture, or if it just ended up in the picture later, but the moth theory would make more logical sense or something around those lines. CNN got a Priest on the news who apparently died in a car accident, came back, talked about a visit to heaven, etc and he says he believes it is an angel, but from a non biased source, the answer would likely be very different.

We can't conclude it is a invisible pink unicorn either. No such thing as angels, that is just mythology.

Quote:"Definitely an angel!" wrote one Facebook commenter.

Well... that settles that.

I don't see anything wrong with looking at the photo and thinking it might be an angel. Many people are religious and (to them) the image could be an angel. It isn't, but the issue isn't that people are wrong about what the image is. The real problem (to me) is that people don't think critically about what is put before them. It's that someone will look at that image and say, "Yep. That's an angel--no doubt about it."

People are convinced that prayer works by similar means. Say a woman finds a lump on her breast, and her husband prays that she will be okay. Then, lo and behold, after a doctor's examination, the lump turns out to be benign. "Yep," says the husband afterwards, "the Lord heard my prayer. It's definitely divine intervention. There's no other possible explanation."

Religious pareidolia strikes again. At least it was a moth, in this instance, rather than a grease streak on a window.

I see a samurai praying to his ancestors for victory in battle.
(and also an imperial stormtroopers helmet)

From what I understand, it's just a moth.

Oh, here it is.

It was a post, not a thread.
