As for trinity, it has no basis in the Bible from what I understand, and how can it when every word for god can be translated to exalted or exalted ones depending if plural or not, even the beginning of John can said to be "and the word was (the) Exalted Ones" and the words use to translate to worship him can be translated to revere, and only begotten son can simply mean the only person he made a son of something without a father, but then Adam would be like that right? Except he wasn't implanted as a son, so it remains true.

I have no real interest in it, but it seems to be better than most belief systems.

Well, figment of my imagination or not, I've gotten an incredible amount of creative mileage from it over the past 19 years.   At the very least I'm dealing with a Jungian archetype that I've tagged with the name O­ðinn and that's been a useful role model.

The Muslim world has been trying hard (but failing every time) to obscure the correct meaning of John 1:1 since this is one of the clearest and more explicit passages supporting the absolute Deity and eternal Personhood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Muslims also want people to erroneously believe that the only verse that comes closest to establishing the doctrine of the blessed Trinity is 1 John 5:7, a passage which many Biblical scholars believe to be a later interpolation by a copyist. However, such is not the case since the teaching of the Trinity is based on the overall teachings of the Holy Bible, and not on some isolated and scattered references that are found here and there. In fact, what we find is that as more investigations are made into the Greek texts of the New Testament the Deity of Christ becomes more firmly established (http://deityofchrist.com/). Muslims must therefore realize that Christians clearly see through their petty attempts of distorting the message of God’s preserved Word, the Holy Bible, and will not put up with the games that their apologists and polemicists try to play with the inspired text of Holy Scripture.

The Real Truth of John 1:1

I’ve wondered why Islam feels the need to address Jesus at all. It’s almost as though the NT presents a problem or dilemma for the Islam story to have an effect. So, Muhammad told half truths about Jesus and caused reasonable doubt among the masses who believed that he died and rose from the dead. Muhammad isn’t mentioned in the Bible, as a prophecy of a next prophet. Just being objective, it stands to reason that Muhammad couldn’t ignore the OT and NT beliefs so he spun them to suit his agenda. I find certain parts of Islam to be beautiful but concocting a new story about Jesus just doesn’t make sense and doesn’t seem true.
