I dealt with that in edge cases, the translation I disagree with and contradicts other verses in Quran that allows love and friendship, let alone alliance.

So you basically compartmentalize the conflicting messages, picking and choosing what you want to follow, acknowledging that the rest is beyond your comprehension. "God works in mysterious ways." Like when you read Surah Al-Tawbah, the ninth surah in the Quran, and find in verses 29 and 30 (written 9:29 and 9:30, or 9:29–30) the command to fight Christians and Jews until they either convert or pay the jizyah tax-as the Islamic State later did in cities like Mosul, Iraq; You read it like "give Christians and Jews some cake and enjoy the tea party."
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
I approach a book from God as it should. Don't know what you doing.

It tells you right there in the book, lol. You see the fat, irrational circle there, MK? I mean, if you don’t care about being rational, just say so. It’s not a big deal. You’d hardly be the first theist happy to admit their particular brand of Koolaid is based on faith rather than reason. In fact, many religious folk pride themselves on that. But, if you’re going to insist that your position is rational, and your arguments logically valid and sound, we will continue to point out your fallacies.

You mean to say I’m pointing out the blatant, inescapable fallacy your entire argument rests upon, and that makes you feel uncomfortable, so your attacking my character rather than addressing my actual point as a last ditch effort to save face. That’s a fallacy too, btw. 😉

Sure I'll explain what I am doing: I am reading the whole text including those that are not very loving and not just parts I want to be true and also lifting my nose out of Koran and seeing the world around, like three year old kids dying in horrible pain from childhood leukemia and other cancers - that doesn't spell that god is love.
