Waters, who has long been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, made the comments during a speech at the "Families Belong Together March" in Los Angeles after canceling events in Alabama and Texas last week because of "hostile mail" and "one very serious death threat," CNN reported.

"I know that there are those who are talking about censuring me, talking about kicking me out of Congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me," Waters said. "All I have to say is this, if you shoot me, you better shoot straight. There is nothing like a wounded animal."

Hate of bigotry and bullies cannot and should not be equated to being the same. 

This climate is that of the same bigotry of lynchings and segregation and the climate of fascism. 

This is what happens when politicians carpet bomb any and all dissent. 

This behavior in the White House cannot be tolerated. He has vilified minorities for years. He perpetuated the birther crap with Obama. He started his campaign by vilifying Mexicans. He vilified Muslims fleeing war. He attacked McCain. He has implied violence at his rallies. He has attacked his own intel. And he is vilifying the watchdog press.

The side standing up to his dangerous rhetoric cannot be equated as to being the same. The only correct response to that type of political scapegoating and vilification is the strongest and most blunt condemnation. 

President Shithole his destroying that civility that you say we should have. Instead of equating the two sides as being the same, stand up for what is right and demand from your elected officials to tell him to fucking knock it off. But do not expect anyone who is a target of his sick bullshit to stay silent and take it.

While it might appear that Maxine is a dingbat her positions are designed to expose the racism and hypocrisy of the Democrats. She's been in Congress for years and has seen first-hand the lack of Dem support for blacks and their issues. Black women are the most loyal of the Dem voting blocs but they haven't been getting anything to warrant that support. Right now countless black womenare running for offfices around the country but the Dem machine isn't supporting them.

Maxine is leading the charge against Trump and she's drawn out the bias against black people by Dem folks like Schumer and Pelosi, who attacked her instead of supporting her. The recent letter attacking Pelosi and Schumer shows that they support the white guy (whom they supposedly disagree with) rather than the black woman who represents their most loyal voting block.

So if the Dems don't step up and start producing a heck of a lot more than they have been for their most loyal base they might find themselves to be irrelevant in the future. Maybe they can import 60 million illegal aliens to vote for them?

It should be obvious that black people have no logical reason to support them anymore.

It;s been bad for decades.  Improvement held up on nothing other than a generational vote for batshit hatreds. When Pelosi and Schumer attacked Maxine and the people wrote the letter to them I started looking for background info.  IMO the Repubs are missing a golden opportunity to peel off a large voting block but they are like the Confederates who didn't want to recruit blacks into the army because they didn't want to owe the blacks if they won the war.  So they didn't want to win with their help.  

It's obvious from the articles that blacks, especially black some, are getting fed-up with the Dems' BS and that in some cases they can win without the Dem organization.  That's going to spell a lot of trouble for creeps like Pelosi and Schumer.  So even if they don't join the whacko Repubs they could just sit it out.  They haven't been getting anything anyway.  Hillary sure wasn't going to give them any meat.
