Geocentric Earth

You can, in fact, see an occluded area on the starfield where the new moon is. You have to look, of course. If you do and you look in the right spot you'll see a black dot about the size of the Moon as seen from Earth.

That would actually require getting off his drunken ass and actually examining the evidence instead of simply pontificating ex cathedra. Somehow I don't think that's in his play book. We see a waning and waxing moon to full day and night. We only watch solar and lunar eclipses. Why don't we see at least some black dot, during the day, in the sky during a new moon? Why don't we see at least some black dot, during the day, in the sky during a new moon? Ur, because the new moon is as unlit as the rest of black sky we see at night, so during the day it will look exactly as how the rest of sky looks during the day? Less self-assurance, more study and reflection. At where you are, there is no possibility that would could fail to help a lot every time. If the moon really orbits the sun and new moon is when the moon is behind the sun, you might think the moon would actually get more fully lit as it moves to the other side of the sun and closer to new moon, rather than less fully lit? No? Not seeing it yet? Okay, the moon really orbits the sun and new moon is when the moon is behind the sun, you might think the moon would always look smaller than the sun when it is approaching new moon, because it is further away from earth, then other times? No? Still not seeing it? RE: Geocentric Earth

Therefore, not visible to the naked eye. And because, only the earth facing the moon could see it otherwise, anyway, only with a enhanced eye looking in the correct place. I'm cool with that.(July 27, 2018 at 3:46 am)Haipule Wrote: Let me try this again. Ok, we have phases of the moon visible, night and day, to us except the new moon. But then, I should be able to see the new moon, using a telescope, when I am rotated to face the eclipsed new moon. Of course, the other side of earth has no chance at such an observation. How am I doing so far? (July 27, 2018 at 1:20 pm)Anomalocaris Wrote:I love you smart ass!(July 27, 2018 at 5:10 am)Jörmungandr Wrote: Auto-didacticism.... fail. Aloha Friday has a three drink minimum and weekends have no minimum or limit! Why do I drink so many martinis? Because I just love olives! I often post under the influence. How could you tell?

I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9 I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice! When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big! I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

The moon isn't being occluded, it simply isn't in the proper position to shine by light reflected by the Earth. Boru

Well, upon further study, a full moon occurs when the earth is between the moon and the sun. And, a new moon is when the moon is in between the sun and the earth. Really? I was just trying to understand the electro magnetic effect of a "line up" having observed it with tides. That's all. Again, I defy gravity with this: FUCK GRAVITY! This doesn't indicate I know a damned thing about nature--YET!
