Intelligent Design

RE: Intelligent Design
I'm going to have to say that neither makes sense. However 'Young Earth Creationists' seem to be scared to defend themselves.

Addendum: The cringe-making Senator Fielding lost his seat at the last election. He only won in the first place because of Australia's preferential voting system. He got in on Labor preferences. Last time Labor declined to give him their preferences, and he lost. On that panel, Dawkins was actually incredulous that Fielding was a member of the Australian parliament.

Senator Fielding is a member of the far right "Family First" party, often referred to here as "Fundies First".

Even some fundies are embarrassed of Senator Felding, for interestingly enough not being straight forward enough about his young earth creationist views. Now a Senator saying he believed the Earth was just 6000 years old would have made for weeks worth of jokes.

RE: Intelligent Design
There is nothing wrong with believing in Intellegence. It does exist. It is everywhere in the Universe. Therefore the process of "Intellegent Design" does exist. BUT, this fact alone does absolutely nothing to prove the existance of a Diety in the form of a Bearded Old Man in his workshop scrwewing the world together with blue-prints and nuts and bolts.

How can they claim their "God" is eternal, and yet in the same moment, reject the idea that the Universe itself is Eternal and requires no "Grandfather-Creator" ? ?

The existance of Intellegence doest not prove the existance of any "God". It only proves that the Universe itself is the sole source of all intellegence. Humans certainly have no monopoly it. Every creature on earth has it. Every grain of sand displays it. WITHOUT ANY BEARDED, TWISTED, GODS PRESENT !

Evidence? I'm not aware of any.

I don't know or care how 'they' claim anything. The claimant has the burden of proof. That includes you.

My position: You believe in Gods or an intelligent universe? I don't,but make no claims. Want me to share your beliefs? No problem, just show me your evidence. If you can't do that, kindly stop wasting my time and bugger off.

PS: It's "intelligence"
