My pro-tips for operating on this forum, OP. First is to accurately use the quotation function. I can see you’re able to edit posts quite easily, and indeed utilise common forum languages and shorthand (OP is an example), so I’m not sure why you’re unable to use this when the BB code is actually very simple and user friendly.
Not doing this is both frustrating for other members who are trying to communicate with you (responding without quoting will not alert them, and if you start cutting and moving text and not adding in additional quotation tags it stymies the flow of your post at best and makes it unreadable at worst) and, to be frank, draws suspicion.
In addition, I’m not here to tell people how to write their posts, but from my long experience moderating and posting on a wide number of forums, people who refer to themselves in the 3rd person, and write in an overly verbose and tangential fashion, are often not genuine in their attempts at discourse. Again, I’m not here to tell you how to write, but the reaction you will (continue) to get from posters is one of frustration and annoyance as people will find it very difficult to decipher what it is you’re trying to say (and that’s not due to a lack of comepetencies on their part, many of our members are very well read in a wide variety of disciplines as you’ll see from perusing previous threads). People want to talk to other members, but if it feels like they’re having a conversation with a poorly programmed chat bot, they’ll soon lose interest.
Those are my pro tips - take them or leave them.

No... no... DON'T USE THE "QUOTE" BUTTON; if you don't ever touch that button, you'll be fine. Cool Have you clicked 'deselect'? Since that old post is still quoted above, it looks like you haven't. You really do need to do that now, and any time in the future when you press "Reply" and see an old post that you're not replying to being quoted, also do it then, because that will indicate that you've accidentally pressed the "Quote" button.
There's also something else you need to know about, along similar lines. Like I said, if it says 'author Wrote:' at the top of any quote that it means it will alert the user in question. There's a function of the site that basically concatenates (joins together) posts if they happen too close together in time... I think it's within two hours or something. It's to stop people spamming a thread with many posts in a row; what it does in that situation is adds them to the end of the previous post, with a long horizontal line separating them. So if this has happened then though you may have posted say ten individual replies, they'll all show in one single post, with each one separated by a horizontal line. So given that concatenation effect, if you then reply to such a post, you are in fact replying to several posts in one... which means that even it you are no longer suffering from the multiquote problem, you may still be quoting people needlessly, and thus alerting them. The only way around that is to actually edit the post to remove the quotes you don't want, as I've done here in my reply to you. But we can work on that... let's first get the multiquote problem sorted

OP thinks he is smarter than the rest of us.
Almost two weeks later, still can’t figure out the quote function. 🤔

@ negatio - are you on a phone or PC? There's nothing in the forum software that should be changing the spelling of your words. Online forums are dumb. There's no artificial intelligence built into them. It's really just a series of forms that save data (posts) to a database for future retrieval. So, if anything is changing your spelling, it's some form of auto-correct that's from a different source (likely your phone, if that's what you're using).
I never use the quote/multi-quote system because it is unwieldy. I'm not sure how to clean out a multi-quote chain. Once you do have it cleared, then simply use the 'Reply' button in the future. It'll save everyone a lot of headaches.
PS - Junior Member doesn't mean anything... it simply means you've made a certain number of posts here. It doesn't convey any additional perks.

Can you not see them in the thread after you post? All you have to do is this:
Step 1: Click 'deselect' at the bottom of the screen at the bottom of the "Quick Reply" box.
Step 2: Click "Reply" on any post you want to reply to. Never press "Quote".
Step 3: If any time in the future when you have pressed "Reply" it quotes an old post that you did not intend to quote in the edit window, then do not press "Post Reply" and instead go back to the thread, then start at step 1 again.
