Oh, that. Hahaha, you're fine. We've had theists on staff here. Some get shat on a lot, but they deserve it, for the most part, for other reasons. You might find yourself challenged a lot, but you won't be run off with pitchforks. I don't mind in the slightest that you're a theist.

Assholes comes in all shapes and sizes. Being a theist doesn't make you an asshole and being an atheist doesn't somehow automatically render you as a non-asshole. You're an asshole if you have a piece of shit personality and your belief in a deity or lack thereof doesn't change that. -But it might highlight your existing personality, though.

Also, Kingschosen didn't become an asshole after giving up on religion, did he?

We're not afraid of typing out the word "God," and we don't think G-d is going to somehow be offended or send us to hell; we don't even believe in hell. It's not a sin to type the o, and I don't have to sacrifice a cow or say a special blessing to ask for forgiveness.
It's like a courtesy because the four letter Hebrew tetragrammaton should, according to our tradition, never be erased. But if you skip a letter, then you never used the tetragrammaton in the first place, so it doesn't matter if it's erased. We apply that logic to English even though "God" is only a representative of the tetragrammaton.
Oh, that's definitely no problem as far as I'm concerned. I prefer to judge people by who they are when I can.

I don't really have a strong stance on that. It sounds like it was a metaphor to me. If at some time in the future, we have the technology to go back and see for ourselves what happened, and it turns out that it really was G-d dressed up as a burning bush, I will be willing to take a firm stance on the matter.

She may get poked, but if she's got thick skin, she'll survive. She seems like she can handle it. For the most part, no one's going to be a dick about it. We'll definitely question and discuss her beliefs, but I imagine she expects that. She can feel free to do the same with our lack of them. Kumbaya all around.
