State of Affairs

State of Affairs
I'm still going through motions - getting over with my male + intellectual + white guilt.

Sighs.

People try to guilt me, I laugh at them.

RE: State of Affairs
My guilt is a long-standing one, something more internalised - driven by my conscience and feelings for people who have suffered both historically and currently.

I'm not sure that it's either healthy or sane to feel guilt about things over which you have no responsibility.

Boru, you are totally right and yes it's insane and unhealthy to me but it makes me feel like doing something about it like sharing solidarity with those people even when I had done nothing of the same sort in personal life.

That's compassion, not guilt.

Yes, compassion but also guilt.

I feel guilt like remorse on behalf of those perpetrators for their wrongdoings on the victims. Like pain that is saddening and distressing to share with those who suffered to such an extent.

Guilt that makes me feel like punishing myself or forcing myself to go through what those people had gone through.

You should seek therapy, then.
