How about this :-

M was a demanding child as many 3 year olds are. They sedated her and her younger twin brothers in order to better enjoy their leisure time with friends - they are both doctors after all. Something went wrong - either she was accidentally given an overdose or died in an unrelated way but sedative would have been found in her system. They could not go to the authorities because they would have been struck off and their twin sons taken into care. In order to protect the twins they somehow hid her body and engaged in a charade of abduction and subsequent life as parents of an abducted child. At some point in the future (possibly when the twins turn 18 in 2023) they will finally reveal what really happened.

Something along those lines seems more likely than a conspiracy reaching into the heart of government.

Or M was abducted.

I've heard nothing about it for nine years.

How do you get rid of a body of a small child on a foreign holiday if you haven't planned it out in advance?

I'm sure there are many non-premeditated crimes that go unsolved.

The lead Portuguese investigator was removed from the Investigation when he was exploring that thesis, by Gordon Brown's influence. He even wrote a book detailing the evidence that pointed to it. Way more than the eyesight of an elderly woman that supposedly saw a man walking with a child on his arms.

I remember one of them was the cadaver dogs (british, no less) signaled cadaver smell in the room and the car they used to supposedly search for the child in spain. A car rented a day after the supposed disappearance.

The MacCan's refusal to answer the investigators by flying to England the day they were constituted Arguidos (a kind of miranda thinguie here).

They spent half the money offered for search in a PR guy.

Something is wrong when the ones that would be more interested in cooperating fled at the slightest suspicion.

RE: Madeiline McCann coverup
I’ll give my idea of what happened, backed up by the evidence.

There was an accident in the room. It happened during the daytime. (Cadaver dog detected smell on brother's shirt worn throughout the day. It also found smell on her favourite toy, which was suspiciously washed after the "disappearance"; smells were also found on much of the parents' clothing.) I’m not sure if the parents were in the room when it happened or not, but either way Maddie was playing and fell off the back of the sofa. She hit her head and died. (Cadaver dog detected smell behind the sofa, which was suspiciously pushed right up against the wall. Blood dog detected Maddie's blood in the same place, which was retrieved as evidence.)

In a panic, the parents picked up Maddie and shut her in their bedroom, spinning some yarn for the other children. They decided they were not going to own up to what happened, for whatever reason, and so they needed to move the body. They put her in their sports bag. (This bag is seen in photos as being in the same spot where cadaver dog detected a smell, and was confirmed by blood dog.) The bag seemed big enough to fold her into, for callous psychopaths like the McCanns.

One of them (I expect Gerry but can’t be sure) took her out in the bag to hide her, managing to get somewhere safe without anyone noticing anything was amiss. They stashed her body in some clever unknown temporary hiding space.

They then, much later in the day, staged an abduction. (Crime scene was immediately recognised as staged and their description of events physically impossible. It also couldn’t have occurred when they said, due to the smell found on the daytime clothes of her brother. Their stories about what happened changed over time to account for the investigation and what was being ruled out.)

They did this to pretend that they had no possible window of opportunity for hiding her. They tried to create a sighting of Maddie seen alive much later in the day, via their friend Dr. Payne. He told a bungled, unconvincing story to interviewers which didn’t align with Kate's version of events, and up to 5 different reasons for this visit were given over time. So they pretended to check on her, knowing she was not there, and then raised the alarm. (Her bed was made up and hadn’t been slept in at all when the police showed up.)

They let 2 weeks pass for the heat to die down. The body was hidden sufficiently well to avoid being found in the short term, but they knew it needed moving to a more permanent place. (They hired a car, 2 weeks after the disappearance. The cadaver dog alerted to two places in the car.) She is now at an unknown place.

Additional notes:

1) The cadaver and blood dogs are the 2 best sniffer dogs in Britain. They are trained to only find the odour of human cadaver and blood, respectively. They didn’t alert to anyone else’s apartment, clothing, or car except the McCanns. There is video evidence of all these alerts.

2) Gerry wasn’t interested in these results at all, and dismissed sniffer dogs as unreliable, a completely nonsense assertion. Eddie the cadaver dog has had a 100% success rate in over 200 cases.

3) The crucial sighting of the "man carrying away a girl wearing pajaymas like Maddies" wasn’t brought forward until 2 whole days after she was found to be missing. 2 days. This friend of the McCanns failed to mention it to either them, or the police, in all that time. It was clearly made up.

4) The McCanns and friends tried to come up with a bogus timeline involving all their movements over the evening. Even while making thing up, including this mystery sighting, they couldn’t agree on how things unfolded. They refused (at least for some time) to do a proper reconstruction with the police. They claimed it "wouldn’t help". This was obviously because their versions of events weren’t actually possible.

5) The embedded confession. During the interview, as shown in the third video of the initial post, they inadvertently confessed to this whole scenario. It was the only time in the whole interview they talked convincingly, without any indication of deceit. This was the 100% opinion of the expert statement analyst. Tellingly, Gerry introduced the word "fell" himself during this confession.

6) They ran their own illegal parallel "investigation" via private companies. They totally are not allowed to do this, yet the Portuguese police had clearly been told to allow them anyway. These companies didn’t do anything to help, in fact they intimidated witnesses and hindered the investigation. The services of known dodgy parties and even con men were employed.

7) They had no answer to the findings of the sniffer dogs. They lawyered up extremely quickly and started refusing to answer police questions. Huge double standards have been shown regarding these findings, including the blood found in the apartment. It was confirmed to be Maddies; then it was somehow later found to be inconclusive after obvious tampering with the investigstion.

8) They armed themselves with teams of lawyers, and started asking for donations specifically for their legal defence, right after the incident. Top people from the UK were flown in to assist them, to proclaim their innocence and to influence what the press would print.

9) They said that they couldn’t eat or sleep for 2 days after the disappearance. After that, they were okay again. This is verging on the impossible for people claiming their daughter had been abducted by pedophiles.

10) This is all just from the top of my head, without referring back to the sources for more details. The more I look into this case, the worse it gets. The mainstream media has been misleading and outright lying; if you just believe it, you’re playing into these people's hands. The evidence for all this isn’t hard to find. Most of it is in the videos in my initial post. Just look into this, and see for yourself. Spread the word, if you agree with me.

That's real interesting Rob. I didn't know about the dogs or blood IN the room. I was aware some blood might have been found in their car, which is obviously suspicious enough, but not the rest of it.

I'll do some diving and see if I can find any information on this.

Can I just point out before people take this thread in wild directions:

1. Blood isn't proof of death. Contamination (accidental transference of blood from one place to another) happens.

2. The parents were both doctors. It's entirely possible that they came into contact with corpses as part of their jobs, either directly or indirectly. In addition, if a cadaver dog can smell a corpse on a toy after it was washed, then the smell on the McCann's clothing and other sources could all have been from the aforementioned corpses that they came into contact with as doctors.

3. Behavior of parents after a tragedy involving one of their children, especially a young child, should be given the benefit of the doubt. I highly doubt any of us would behave in entirely rational ways if we found our child missing, in a foreign country. The fact that they left one of the doors to the apartment unlocked, potentially allowing an abductor into the apartment, provides an additional cause for a feeling of guilt and further irrational behavior.
