Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Boom, boom, boom.

Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Boom, boom, boom!

On a serious note.

Thank you to those who have served.

Go here and you can hear the guns go silent.  People stopped dying for pools of water and blood amidst the mud.

That was amazing.

Bit of pertinent trivia (no Googling, please).  When was the First World War first called 'The First World War'?

I know it is a music video, but I think this Metallica song is moving in it' lyrics about the horrors of war.

It is up to every generation to keep the memories of what not to do to your fellow humans and pass that history down to every generation.

It is a hard thing to do sure, because humans get stuck in the moment, but it is an effort, if our species is to extend our ride, that  is vital to our survival.

There are commemorations being held here in Ireland, which wasn't always the case due then history between Ireland and Britain. About 35,000 Irish men and women died in the first World War.

I have a small collection of DeV's speeches during WWII. I lol'd several time. "Bugger off" never was spoken so bluntly.

I can't post a link since I'm on my phone but one of my favourite commemoration songs is "the band played Waltzing Matilda".

Worth looking up.
