It's like asking "What is a Vampire, and what sort of powers does it have?". You'll get different answers from different people, and while there's a generally held concept, no one is really right or wrong, because it's not a creature we've been able to get real data on.

Child's play, my bolded.

A being subsisting on blood.  In human form often associated with supernatural, fanciful powers.  Also see the current vice president of the U.S. and the newly re-elected senator from Texas.

That's generally agreed on, yes. Aside from the most basic description, you could have a wide variety of different answers. Usually a god is a Humanoid being that's more powerful than us. Anywhere from "Able to trounce you, but also being able to die" to "Omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent". Sometimes a god is just "The universe", and other abstract concepts. We don't know for sure.

Yeah, I totally agree.  While Gay Buldge's description is pretty comprehensive, I've also heard God defined as the universe itself and other odd stuff.  My own definition wouldn't fit, but I'm not showing mine until Jor shows us hers.

RE: God
-and if you pick into their "the universe itself" description..you'll find the assumption of every characteristic asserted in the definition provided.  The contention is that "the universe"..is, properly, all of the things attributed to gods.

If it were just the universe..they'd call it the universe..but they don't.  It's got that special something extra representative of the other set of things.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

We have to love the jump they make from "Some power had to create the universe" to "It was my god that did it", ignoring every other creator god Humanity has come up with throughout the ages.

Yeah, it's not simply a naturalistic universe to such theists, but a universe intuitively imbued with some vague immaterial set of godly properties.

Too bad you never got around to realizing that Ometacuhtli and Omecihuatl were responsible for the things you attribute to your own non-existent god, I suppose. You're even one shy of the magic number, which is 13, not 12.

So close....so close. Wink

I wasn't aware that he was an actor.  I just think he has a hot body/face.
