RE: #MeTooFar
Of course I am. If a song can be pulled for the reasons given in the article - even when over 90% of the audience said it shouldn’t - then any song can be pulled for any reason.

Weather 90% protests the song being pulled is a non factor and again i not sure anyone arguing your second point. I will ask you contrary would you fine anything being played no matter how offensive ? Or is offense simply matter if offends the majority?

For example, maybe kids shouldn't be allowed to listen to 'Frosty the Snowman', as it tells them to ignore police instructions, like 'Stop!'  And do you want kids growing up thinking that's it's OK to keep hippos in garages?

Something must be done!!

Moral:  Don't be alone with Dean Martin on a snowy night, or he'll try to rape you.

Boru
Something being considered harmless for a long period of time does not mean upon reflection it is harmless and i don't the radio considers their choice not to play it an act of courage .

Can you point to ANY actual harm caused by this song?  Chrissake, people act like it’s going to empower rapists or something.

‘Well, did assault her, officer, but I had just listened to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” .

‘Ok, I’ll let you off with a warning.’

Come on.

Modern feminism really takes the sexy, risqué fun out of sex. If a guy I was into said maybe half a drink more after I coyly said no, I might, very willingly, agree to it. Sometimes, a woman actually wants to be convinced. Shocking! I don’t know how many times I’ve said I’m not in the mood and then was put in the mood and had amazing sex.

The point was made earlier in the thread that the radio station was justified in pulling the song as a way of protecting market share, I was responding to that.

Show me the harm of seeing this cartoon ? will someone become a racist by simply looking at it? Will they start lynching black people ? Whats the harm other then a minority at the time being offended and i'm sure at the time and for some time after it was made people thought this was totally innocent .
