Who, exactly, is calling the ICE?  People who sing Christmas songs?

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What can I say...I've given up giving you the benefit of the doubt.  You worked hard to eradicate that.  Don't get me wrong...you seem decent...but why should my instinct be informative?

Right?

The doubt that what? I can be made to fall in line with your leftist dogma?

Nah, I'll pass on the cult of identity politics and take the time to treat individuals on an individual basis. Everyone's okay in my book, and I'm happy to let them express themselves, so long as they don't impose any particular mode of expression on me. No "four legs baa-a-a-a-aad" here, PC Bro.

Sure. I'll tell you what "tolerant" means. Or, you could look it up somewhere and learn all on your own!

We've already been over this.  You're repeating the wambulance complaint, fielding a charge of hypocrisy...where none exists in the first place, lol.

-aaaaaaaaaaand now we're onto reverse discrimination of the funhouse mirror variety.

I'm not trying to repeat or restate anything. I agree with your stated dictionary definition of tolerance. I was pointing out that in practical application of tolerance starting off with intolerance is self defeating. I'm not saying kumbaya circles but it's the very definition of closed-mindedness. And it causes the tolerance/intolerance dilemma to implode.

Pointing out a person is an asshole, because of their dress, look, nationality or labeled belief on a forum sign up sheet is being-closed minded and intolerant.
Pointing out a person is an asshole based on their actions, words and history is a value based judgement.
The later doesn't invalidate the person, just the views expressed.

If we're to come to an equanimity in our pluralistic society applying basic human decency and understanding are better than just applying tolerance. You've said little to change my mind on that, but I'm still open.

Side note, I don't believe in reverse discrimination any more than I believe in reverse racism.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
