This is taking me back to the most shameful episodes of my life. Listening to Abba and watching Galactica 1980. I was just so desperate to watch anything that was science fiction on TV. I couldn't help it. It's not my fault. I didn't ask for 1980 to happen.
We do not inherit the world from our parents. We borrow it from our children.

Abba was the 70s. But even outside ABBA, If it were not for them, the 1980s muisic/TV would not exist.

Abba was the 70s. But even outside ABBA, If it were not for them, the 1980s muisic/TV would not exist.

Didn't they disband in the early 80s? I'm pretty sure that it was around 1980 that we all agreed to never mention them again.

Yes, they disbanded in the early 80s. But they had a huge influence after.  

I am not into the Foo Fighters, but one band member was into ABBA.

 To me, it's just one of those places that you want to get the hell out of.
