I've always had a fondness for cheap, horrible shows...The kind that are so bad, they're actually good. 
The 90's had plenty. Xena was definitely one of them.

The best worst show was Forever Knight, though. It was about a nominally pudgy, weak-chinned, vampire homicide detective.
It was intended to be a serious show, but the F/X and overall production was just so bad and shitty and the acting was so horrible that it came off as hysterically comedic.

I loved it.

Well, Picasso was deemed worthy of having his name formally attached to an asteroid only a little further from the sun than mars, where as xena’s was relegated to a object half again further than Pluto.

I'm not sure why, but Kevin Sorbo's always struck me as more of a dude who's trying to get paid than a True Believer.
I could be wrong, though.

But there is a lot of money to be made in the Christian movie market. It can provide C and D-list celebrities who Hollywood's not really checking for with a nice, steady stream of income for years and years.  

It's quite the lucrative hustle.
