I don't care about sexual orientation or any number of other characteristics. I just want a decent, rational human being in that office.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Some people say they would have voted for Obama a third time If they could. I actually did (in the 08 primary), and I honestly didn’t give a shit that he was black or biracial or whatever. What mattered is that, of all the candidates (well, candidate at that point), he was the one who fit with my views the most (his being a fellow Chicagoan certainly helped). And I was willing to support Hilary in the event that he lost because what mattered to me was a candidate who actually knew what the fuck they were doing and it wasn’t four more years of the same bullshit we went through with Dubya.

As I said in a prior post, there are "Log Cabin" republicans, meaning gay republicans, and no I would not vote for them if one ran.
But I will not lie, the thought of Pete defeating Trump, just on tone alone, would be a sweet win, but a gay military serviceman who served when Mr Bone Spurs didn't would certainly be icing on the cake.
