Quote:So you think that anyone who says a racial slur when they are angry is a racist?
Yup because using racist language definitely makes you a racist regardless of your emotional state .

So I'm sorry, but I don't see this white guy who said the racial slur as being any different than the black people that I have heard using racial slurs. It's the same thing, and I wish that everyone would knock it off.

First of all, I'll remind you that I've made it quite clear that I don't think that assaulting someone is the appropriate response to be called a slur multiple times in this thread.
However, I did make it known that I do regard "some old guy" as a racist instigator, which you apparently to take tremendous issue with. Your reasoning essentially amounted to "Those who use slurs aren't really racist; they're just "angry", to "Everyone's racist, really" to "Well no...not really" and back around to more Whataboutism all in an effort to have me parrot your your narrative that black and whites in the US essentially experience racism at he same level. You simply cannot abide my saying that this guy or any other white guy is racist without me qualifying it by saying that white folks have it just as bad if not worse.
Well I don't believe that, Yon. Not in general terms.
It is what it was. Tis the world we live in we can't talk about specific issues anymore everything has too assume everyones suffering is the same or equal .

No, I wasn't engaging in whataboutism. A person who uses a racial slur in anger might or might not be a genuine racist. I simply can't tell from a single incident. I think that black people and white people both experience racism, but they experience it differently. I think that black people experience a lot more of it. And more forms of it. I haven't said that the black experience of racism and the white experience of it are on the same level. Let's talk without putting words into each other's mouths, Thena.

So, just curious, do you have an actual point to make about the hate speech rule?

Actually it was
Quote:A person who uses a racial slur in anger might or might not be a genuine racist.
And we have no reason to assume this and every reason to assume they are few people randomly spout ni^&&45 on emotional whim

A tangent here: what is this thing "reverse racism"? I mean if there is a black that hates whites, he is to the best of my knowledge, a racist, same as he hate indians or chinese or eskimos. Reverse racism seems weird, but I am not english native so I might be wrong about something.

White people assume they invented everything, including racism, so anything that isn't racism directed at non-whites must have a qualifier. Thus - in rather a roundabout way - the term 'reverse racism' is in itself a racist expression.

I guess so. There isn't a thing like that in Portuguese. It's racism, simply.

Regardless of the rules of English these labels mean exactly the opposite of what they would mean if they followed the rules. If not opposite - at least sideways as hell.
Or - pre-owned cars would be new cars - as they haven' t been owned yet . ---- and ----
Reverse racisism would be a condition where the practitioner would love everyone - because of their race.

I don't think anyone is saying violence is "justified", but that it's 'understandable'.
